Until today I have been avoiding the challenge to tangle with my left hand ...
Wohl hatte ich hier und da gelesen, dass es eine gute Erfahrung sein könne, einmal die untrainierte, ungeschicktere (bei mir die linke) Hand zu benutzen., aber versucht hatte ich es bisher nicht. Nun gab es keine Ausrede mehr.
Es war nicht einfach, aber auch nicht so schrecklich wie ich befürchtet hatte. Zwar fühlte sich meine linke Hand ungeschickt und unkontrolliert an, aber nicht so verkrampft, dass es weh getan hätte. Gerade Linien zu ziehen fand ich nicht so schwierig. Aber die Spiralen! Und ich fand es erstaulich schwierig, die schwarzen Flächen auszufüllen.
Aber insgesamt finde ich meine Kachel sehr schön! Interessanter als manch eine Kachel, die ich mit rechts getangelt habe. Die krakeligen Stellen tragen eher zu einem individuellen Erscheiningsbild bei als dass sie stören - finde ich.
Auf jeden Fall habe ich diese Kachel wirklich Strich für Strich und sehr bewußt getangelt und schattiert. Gaaanz langsam! Anders ging es gar nicht. Und das war schön!
I had read here and there that it would be a good experience to use the untrained, more awkward non dominant hand (the left hand for me), but I had not tried it so far. Now there was no excuse anymore.
It wasn't easy, but not as terrible as I had feared. Sure, my left hand felt awkward and uncontrolled, but not as cramped and tense as I had feared. Drawing straight lines I didn't find so very difficult. But the spirals! And it was surprisingly difficult to fill in the black bits.
But overall I like my tile a lot. It looks more interesting than many a tile I've done with the right hand. I think the unsteady lines add to an individual appearance rather than disturb.
In any case, I have really tangled and shaded this tile very consciously one stroke at a time. Very slooooowly. It't wouldn't have been possible any other way. And I actually enjoyed that.
Und ich fand es eine interessante Erfahrung, mal wieder (fast) ganz am Anfang zu stehen. Nach ein paar Jahren Tangeln stellt sich doch eine gewisse Routine und Erfahrung ein. Zu spüren, wie es sich für einen Anfänger anfühlen könnte, den Stift das erste Mal aufs Papier zu bringen - noch ungeschickt und etwas verkrampft - ist eine gute Sache, wenn man unterrichten möchte.
And I found it was an interesting experience to be (almost) at the very beginning again. After a few years of tangling, there is a certain routine and experience of course. To experience how a beginner might feel putting pen on paper for the first time - still awkward and somewhat cramped - is a good thing if you want to to teach.

Wirklich eine sehr schöne Tile, meine ersten versuche sehen deutlich "krackeliger" aus! Aber deine Tile hat definitiv Charakter - und ich sage das nicht, weil sie nicht schön wäre. Sie ist sogar sehr schön! Toll finde ich auch, dass du dich an so viele runde Tangles gewagt hast, obwohl das definitiv schwieriger ist. Und dann auch noch Dansk, das ist ja auch so schon eine Herausforderung. Kurzum: Toller Beitrag! Aber auch den Post fand ich sehr lesenswert und ich gebe dir absolut Reecht: Hier kann man definitiv sehr gut wieder nachempfinden, wie man sich als Anfänger fühlt.
