Irgendwann im vergangenen Jahr hatte ich die Idee, das Muster hollibaugh wie einen Dornenzweig zu gestalten. Zufällig war ich gerade in der Vorbereitung eines Pokeleaf-Kurses, und da haben sich die Blättchen auf die Dornen gesetzt.
Sometime last year, I had the idea to draw the pattern hollibaugh like a thorn branch. Coincidentally, I was preparing a Pokeleaf class at the same time, and the pokeleaves settled on the thorns.
So sind die Mustervariationen "thorned hollibaugh" und "thorned pokeleaf" entstanden.
Wir haben sie in meinen Pokeleaf-Kursen gezeichnet und meine Kursteilnehmerinnen haben mich ermutigt sie zu veröffentlichen.

This is how the tangelations "thorned hollibaugh" and "thorned pokeleaf" came about.
We drew them in my Pokeleaf classes and my students encouraged me to publish them.
So here they are:

Starte mit einer Bleistiftlinie, deinem String.. Folge der Linie mit deinem Fineliner und baue dabei die Dornen ein. Mache das mit etwas Abstand und spiegelverkehrt erneut und ordne dabei die Dornen versetzt an. Zeichne von oben nach unten, bzw, von unten nach oben - so wie es für dich bequem ist.
Verstärke die Dornen mit einem Rounding.
Schattiere auf einer Seite des Zweiges.
Ordne mehrere Zweige an, so wie du es von Hollibaugh kennst.
Start with a pencil line - your string. Follow the line with your fineliner, incorporating the thorns as you go. Do this again with a little distance. Mirror the thorns but arranging the them in
a staggered way. Draw from top to bottom, or from bottom to top - as it is convenient for you.
Reinforce the thorns with some rounding.
Shade on one side of the branch.
Arrange several branches in a Hollibaugh fashion.

Beginne, indem du ein kräftiges "thorned hollibaugh" zeichnest. Die Zweige und Dornen sollten nicht zu klein sein.
Setze nun herzförmige Pokeleaf-Blätter auf die Dornen. Sie fügen sich perfekt in die bereits vorhandenen Rundungen ein.
Ziehe eine gestrichelte Linie vom Dorn zur Blattspitze.
Schattiere unterhalb dieser Linie.
Start by drawing a strong "thorned hollibaugh." The twigs and thorns should not be too small.
Now place heart-shaped pokeleaf leaves on the thorns. They fit perfectly into the already existing curves.
Draw a dotted line from the thorn to the tip of the leaf.
Shade below this line.
Wie ihr in meinen Beispielen sehen könnt, machen sich die beiden Muster wunderbar auf pflanzengefärbten Kacheln oder auf Renaissance-Papier.
As you can see in my examples, the two patterns look great on ecoprinted paper or on Renaissance tiles.
